Description |
A rather large project that got put to the side once I started university. I re-visited development of the map in 2004 as a potential part of a map pack being developed by Unreal Playground members. Sadly though, the map had reached a point where the BSP was unstable, and there was little I could do to save it, and more real life things got in the way. The map itself was going to be a non-symmetrical castle -> castle affair, with a central river and bridge area. The grounds between the bases were divided into sections by rock faces. The sections were linked with small cave sections, and the alternate route to going over the main bridge was through a series of connected caves and caverns. The river flowed into this area, to link up the area further. The castles themselves were relatively small, with some surrounding courtyard sections and a sniper turret each. More like forts rather than castles actually. The thing that most annoys me about this map is that the only remaining copy I have is from way back before I made some significant improvements, and I can't find any of the more recent development. I'd probably consider finishing it if I had. The single screenshot below shows a stage with some newer developments added. |
